A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE DESIGN (50%) FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
FOR SEMINOLE ROAD.
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2019 staff received a proposal from Hanson Professional Services
in the amount of $37,334.00 to provide professional engineering services for 50% plans and opinion
of probable cost for drainage improvements along Seminole Road; and
WHERES, the design is to replace the failing and undersized pipe along the west side of the
roadway on the southern end of Seminole Road between David Street and Palm Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the design will include the preparation of 50% construction plans for the new
storm drain system, sidewalk and pavement impacted by the drainage improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City has a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Hanson
Professional Services and this scope of work would be Task Authorization No. 1 under said agreement;
and
WHEREAS, funds for this design are budgeted in the stormwater account 470-0000-538-
6300.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Task
Authorization No. 1 with Hanson Professional Services in the amount of $37,334.00 for the Drainage
Improvements for Seminole Road (50%) as described in Hanson's proposal dated March 14, 2019,
and;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
Purchase Order to Hanson Professional Services in the amount of $37,334.00 for said Task
Authorization No. 1.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
