BACKGROUND: Bid opening was held Wednesday, July 3 l for construction
of the fishing pier at Dutton Island. A-1 Dock Builders bid
does include the 10% contingency: The following bids

• A-1 Dock Builders $ 95,658.46
• Industrial Services $112

• T.W. Blount, Jr. $151,478.80
• Dowling Construction $177,b56.00
"~" Don Ford and I reviewed a boardwalk that A-1 Dock
Builders constructed for the -City of Fernandina Beach. The
material was in gaud condition and the quality of work also
~ looked good. We also spoke to Coleman Langshaw,
Marina Director and he indicated that the work was of good
.., -
quality and he would recommend A-1 Dock to the City of
Atlantic Beach.
BUDGET: The City received a matching grant from FIlVD for the
construction of the fishing pier. The City's match would
` - come from the '/2-cent sales tax .funds.
. RECOMMENDATION: Award Bid Number 0102-21; Construction of the Fishing
- Pier at Dutton'Island to A-1 Dack in the amount of
