328 5th St gutter requirement for roof over pergola Irizarry,Angela From:Arlington, Daniel Sent:Friday, April 19, 2019 9:36 AM To:paulwest1@comcast.net Cc:Williams, Scott; Corbin, Shane; Irizarry,Angela Subject:328 5th Street Paul, This email letter is to confirm our conversation, from this morning. Scott Williams and Jim Rigsbee also attended the meeting. It has come to our attention that the new, permitted metal roofing over two existing pergola structures shed a portion of the stormwater intended to be drained by the pervious pavers and drainage system on the pool deck. The walls of the pergolas remain open. We all agreed that an easy solution is to install roof gutters and vertical leaders on both pergolas and redirect the water back to the pervious pavers, under the new roofs, and nearby deck drains. The leaders will be installed on the interior corners of the pergolas, away from property lines, and all stormwater will stay on site as originally designed. As we agreed, a note has been attached to the permit records that the gutters and vertical leaders will be verified at final inspection. No other action should be required. The Stop Work Order has been lifted. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further, or have any questions.
