Background: On July 11, 2001, bids were opened for Beach Cleaning in
w - Atlantic Beach fora 12-month period. Over the past two
years, Beachcombers has provided the City with Beach
'~" - Cleaning Services. They have demonstrated excellent
professionalism and knowledge in the area of beach
maintenance and care.
The City has spoken to Beachcombers regarding an
~ extension contract for one year at the current rates and they
have agreed. E1s per bid #0001-21: "The City rese~es the
right to renew contracts for two additional one year
periods pending a mutual agreement between the: City, the
vendor and a review of the contract performance by vendor

Beachcombers has agreed to renew the current contract and
staff has been pleased with the performance of this
contract.
~.• Recommendation: To extend the Beach Cleaning Contract for one additional
e ' year at the current vendor rates.
~ Budget: Under account number 001-6020-572-3400 {Park
Maintenance-Other Contractual Services) Beach Cleaning
Services provided at a cost of $35,800.00 per year.
