FLORIDA STATE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE
UNION NEGOTIATION MEETING
AUGUST 23, 2007
The negotiation meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. Those in attendance were:
City: George Foster, Chief Negotiator (Human Resource Manager)
David Thompson, Negotiator (Chief of Police / Director of Public Safety)
Mike Classey, Negotiator (Police Captain)
Union: Gary Evans, Staff Representative
David Cameron, Local FOP Chairman
The Union provided the City with written copies, in Article format, of their recommendations for
contract changes and each proposal was discussed. (See attached table summary under Union
proposals)
2. The City went over the tentative decisions that were made by the City Commission during the budget
workshops and the City proposed contract changes were discussed. (See attached table summary under
City proposals)
After discussion, 3 items were agreed upon with 12 non -administrative items remaining open. (See
attached table summary under status)
4. The next negotiation session was established as September 11, 2007, 2:00 pm., in the City Hall South
Conference Room.
5. Adjournment.
The meeting adjourned at 3:30 P.M.
