BACKGROUND: Zoning related fees are currently and inexplicably set forth within the
,~, ~;` Code Enforcement provisions of Chapter 2 of the City Code; however, Section 24-46 (4) of the
Code authorizes the City Commission to establish fees related to the administrative costs of
carrying out the requirements of Chapter 24, the Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development
~,, Regulations.
Attached are two proposed ordinances; one amends Chapter 24 to create a new section for fees
related to planning and zoning activities, and the second amends Chapter 2-368 to eliminate
zoning fees from the Code Enforcement provisions of the Code.
BUDGET: New and revised fees as proposed.

RECOMMENDATION: Approval upon first reading.

Charges, Section 2-368, Fees and Charges, of the Code of Ordinances for the City of
