CONSTRUCTION WORK, INCLUDING REPAIR WORK,
UNDL;R CONThjk0T IN THE TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH
SHALL HAVE INSURANCE AGAINST PUBLIC LIABILITY
AMID PRO. ERTY DAMAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TaZ OF,ATLAiITIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. All persons, firms, and corporations
doing construction work of any kind, including the
repair of any structure under contract in the Town of
Atlantic Beach, shall before beginning any such work,
and during the continuance thereof', have and keep in
force public liability and property damage insurance
protecting such contractor against liability imposed
upon him by law for injury to persons and property in
the amount of 410,000.00 in event of injury to one
person,and-X20,000.00 in event of injury to more than
one person, and 41,000.00 in event of injury to
property.
SECTIOiV 2. iio person, firm, or corporation shall
be issued a permit for the doing of any construction
work under contract, including repair work, unless and
until a certificate of a reputable insurance company
certifying that the applicant for such permit holds a
policy of insurance in such company of the character
described in Section 1 hereof shall have been filed
with the Town Clerk.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, or corporation
violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall upon
conviction be fined not more than 4100.00 or imprisoned
not more than thirty (30) days or both such fine and
imprisonment in discretion of the Court.
