1524116 ~ ORDINANCE NO. s AN ORDINANCE UIEND ING SECT I01U 3 AND 12 OF ORDINANCE NO. 107, BEING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES AND RULES GOVERNING THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF EATER BY THE TGiJN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, REGULATING THE SERVICE RENDERED CONSUMERS THEREOF; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF" " BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TOVIM COUNCIL OF THE TOVdN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIi)A: Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 107, being an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES AND RULES GOVERNING THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF WATER BY THE TO101 OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, REGULATING THE SER- VICE RENDERED CONSUMERS THEREOF; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF;" be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. Upon the application of the owner or consumer for water service or fire service, the fol- lowing tapping charges shall be made to cover the cost of the taps and the installation of the service to the property to be supplied with water service, and shall be paid by the applicant before service connection is made: Less than One inch Tap and Service .35.00 One inch Tab and Service 10.00 One and One-half inch Tap and Service50.00 Two inch or over Tap and Service and for Fire Services the consumer will be furnished with an estimated cost of the installation of such service including meter, and the consumer shall deposit with the Town Clerk the amount of such estimated cost of service. Any balance of this de- posit noc used in the actual cost of the necessary labor and materials shall be refunded to the consumer; and any cost in excess of theestimated cost shall be paid by the consumer. The minimum water rental for the period from date of installation to the following January lst shall be collected at the time the deposit is made for tap fee. TA 3'ection 2. That Section 12 of said Ordinance 107 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 12—.) For new water services made after the beginning of each calendar year or for a continuance of a turned -off existing service, the yearly minimum will be prorated on a monthly basis for the remainder of the year plus the cut -in fee when applicable as provided in Section 6 above. The rates applicable to existing customers outside the Town boundaries shall be one and one-half times the above rates and the above minimum and excess quantity allowances shall apply to such customers. (New customers outside Town Boundaries will not be accepted unless their application for service is approved by the Town Council). The rate applicable to publicly owned activities (public schools, etc.) will be determined in each case by Resolution of the Town Council. Section 3. That excXpt as hereinabove amended, all provisions of said Ordinance No. 107 shall remain in full force and effect.
