A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR
THE SKATE ROAD SIDEWALK INSTALLATION
WHEREAS, on April 26, 2019, an estimate in the amount of $62,822.04 was received for
the Skate Road Sidewalk Installation project from Jax Utilities Management, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has a current contract with Jax Utilities Management,
Inc. (Contract #8258-22 titled "Concrete Maintenance and Construction — West Area"; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to piggy -back off said contract; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials
necessary for the installation of a new 5' wide, 5" thick (with fibermesh) sidewalk on the west side
of Skate Road from Plaza Drive to Cavalla Road. The project will include new driveway aprons
in the right-of-way for driveways within the construction area, ADA mats, miscellaneous curb and
gutter repairs, and sodding; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in account 131-5002-541-6300 under project #PW1904.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorized the City to piggy -back off the City of
Jacksonville's Contract with Jax Utilities Management; and
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes approving a Purchase Order in the
amount of $62,822.04 to Jax Utilities Management, Inc. for the Skate Road Sidewalk Installation;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
