Thank you, Dan. This helps and I appreciate it. 2018 has been an
exceptionally stressful year so I’m just ready. Have a great weekend.

Hi Jennifer,
As you probably noticed, most of the old correction notices are either
in the doc box or in the zip-lock bag.
I’m guessing that this old one got dropped somehow and someone put it
in your mail box.
We always leave them in the doc box and try to secure them in an
obvious place.
That tie-down inspection is still open, but is nearing completion.
Rick tells me that the pictured notice has been read and discussed with
the builder.
There is no problem on our end.
Regarding the most recent inspection, the window/door inspection failed
for the third time.
Using the Florida Product Approval process; the windows/doors should be
specified at plan review, so we can verify that they meet Code; the
installation instructions for the windows/doors should be on site and
the installers should follow them; and then the inspector verifies the
correct installation that will resist the required wind pressure.
The inspection failed yesterday for missing fasteners in the bottom
flange of the sliding glass door. (The bottom is 25% of the perimeter)
I hope this helps.
It has been a little bit of a bumpy road, but some good progress has
been made.
Happy New Year,
Dan Arlington

Hi Dan,
I just called and spoke with Tony who tried to help me but I may have
confused her because I was bringing a lot to the table. This was in our
mailbox today. It was not there 3 hours ago when we first checked the
mail but then it was 15 minutes ago. I put it in the bag in the box but
my questions are 1. Where is it supposed to go (bag or tacked up in the
board) because I don’t want the contractor flagged for something that
was not his fault and 2. How did it get in the mailbox that I check
every day?
I’m quite frustrated by this process and not sure what I as an owner
can do. Any advice you can provide I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Jenn Lagner
