Hi Chris, we do print the conditions of permit on the actual permit
which states they need to locate the water/sewer taps. So they
definitely can’t say we didn’t tell them! I say charge them for the
locates, maybe a hit to their wallets will make them call in the
inspections? I am open for suggestions on how to fix this.

Jennifer we are still having problems with contractors doing house
demo’s not locating the sewer and water services and disconnecting them
before they demo the house. When they do this they break the sewer
lateral causing it to fill up with dirt and they can’t find it when it
comes time to reconnect ! I try to highlight this on the permit so they
know to do it.

Yes, This property tie in with the neighbor on southern p/l. This is
another example of demolition that don’t cap the services before new
construction begins..
