A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF $216,000 FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITIES FUND
INFRASTRUCTURE ACCOUNT FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF A
REPLACEMENT SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION
(SCADA) SYSTEM FROM DATA FLOW SYSTEMS FOR THE CITY'S WATER
TREATMENT PLANTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to undertake a supervisory control and data
acquisition (SCADA) system replacement project for its water treatment plants; and
WHEREAS, after substantial staff review, it has been determined that the best course of action is
to procure the services of Data Flow Systems for this project; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the City of Atlantic Beach's Public Infrastructure Utilities
Fund for this purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the expenditure of $216,000 from the Public
Utilities Fund Infrastructure Account for the procurement of a replacement supervisory control and data
acquisition (SCADA) system from Data Flow Systems.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contracts and such purchase
order(s) in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
