A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #1819-06 FOR THE RUSSELL PARK RESTROOM
REMODEL PROJECT.
WHEREAS, on June 5, 2019 five bids were received and opened for City Bid
#1819-06 for the Russell Park Restroom Remodel Project; and
WHEREAS, the total lump sum bid prices ranged from $80,000.00 to $116,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder ($80,000.), Synot Construction, is ineligible to be awarded
this project, as they were found to be non-responsive and non -responsible as they did not provide
proper insurance, financials, proof of experience and the required Bid Bond; and
WHEREAS, the next lowest bidder ($93,200.00), Lasa Construction, submitted all
required documentation; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work includes the replacement of plumbing fixtures and piping,
accessories, doors, windows, toilet partitions, tile floor and base, and electrical fixtures as well as
new paint finish at walls, doors and ceiling; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given 45 days from Notice to Proceed date to complete
the project;
WHEREAS, project funds are available in the FYI 8-19 budget under Project No. PRI 903
Russell Park Improvements; account 131-6020-572-6300.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1819-06 for the Russell Park
Restroom Remodel project to Lasa Construction in the amount of $93,200.00; and
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Lasa Construction; and
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
