Building restrictions within the RS -2 zoning district shall be: (1)Maximum impervious surface: Fifty (50) percent. At the time city staff reviewed the permit for a new home, impervious credit was given for the use of pervious pavers. A complaint has been made to the city that the pavers that were installed are not actually pervious. In order to clear up this violation, please either show the city that the pavers that were installed are in fact pervious, or replace the existing pavers with pervious ones. Sec. 23-31- General Prohibitions: (b)Pruning or removal of city trees. It shall be unlawful to trim, prune, or remove any tree which is within the city's rights-of-way or upon any other city property without the permission of the city as evidenced by the appropriate permit. Two five -inch trees were removed from the city right -of --way when constructing the drivewa for this new home. The property owners and builders of the project were not given a y remove the trees. They must be replaced at a rate of 1 inch for every I inch removed. The to for replacement at the time of removal was $49 an inch. This requires a payment of $490 into the city's tree fund. This letter requests that the noted violations he corrected by within ten (30) clays of the receipt of this notice. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to verify compliance.
