AGENDA ITEM: Asphalt Repairs

BACKGROUND: The City's current contract is with Tom's Asphalt Repairs, Inc. for
asphalt repairs which exceed the filling of minor potholes. This
contract expires on February 28, 2001. We have contacted Mrs.
Nancy Miller, President of Tom's Asphalt Repairs, Inc., and she
has agreed to extend the current. contract for its last option year at
the current prices.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one year, at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Nancy Miller, President of Tom's Asphalt
Repairs, Inc., agreeing to the extension.
BUDGET: Total Budget for Fiscal Year 10/1/00-9/30/01 is $14,500, and
$5,060 has been spent through 1/22/01. Funds budgeted as
follows: $5,500 in account 001-5002-541-3400, $4,000 in account
400-4301-533-3400, and $5,000 in account 410-4401-535-3400.

As you aze awaze, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for asphalt repairs expires on
February 28, 2001. We would ]lice to extend the contract for another year at the current prices,. if
this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before
January 26, 2001, so I can prepare a staffreport for the City Commission to accept the extension.
We look forward to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
