Subject: City Mana er's Report
Lane Closine on Atlantic Boulevard: Superior Construction Company, Inc has notified the City
that the inside westbound lane on Atlantic Boulevard will be closed for approximately 3 to 4
weeks beginning on Thursday, February 1, 2001. The area to be closed will be about 700 feet
long in the vicinity of the intersection with Mayport Road. Articles about this closure have
already appeared in the newspaper.
PD Receives Grant for Mobile Video and Radar Units: The City Police Department has
received notification from the FAOT that a grant has been awarded in the amount of $29,095 to
purchase mobile video and radar units for five cars. The video units have proven to be very
effective in the prosecution of DUI cases. The grant application and acceptance of paperwork
has already been approved by the City Commission.
Death of Susan Dunham's Father; Paui Arsenault, father of the City's Beautification
Coordinator Susan Ihmham, died on January 27`" in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was 74
years old and the funeral was held earlier this.. month.
