A RESOLUTION OF THE CITE' OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADDING % HOUR (0.5 HOURS) OF PERSONAL TIME OFF (PTO) PER
PAY PERIOD FOR ALL EMPLOYEES ELIGIBLE FOR LEAVE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach historically has provided employees with paid
time off for personal leave; and
WHEREAS, in 2013, the City of Atlantic Beach reduced the leave accrual afforded to
employees, due to fiscal concerns, as shown in the attached chart; and
WHEREAS, in 2013, the City of Atlantic Beach reduced other benefits to employees,
including discontinuing the leave sell back program and longevity pay; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach currently provides personal time off to its
employees at the 2013 rate; and
WHEREAS, to increase the viability and competiveness of its employees' compensation
and benefits package, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to add V2 hour (0.5 hours) of personal time
off per pay period for all employees eligible for leave.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the addition of %2 hour (0.5 hours)
of accrued leave per pay period for all employees eligible for leave;
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
