A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
FOR THE SIDEWALK REPAIRS 2019 PROJECT.
WHEREAS, on July 29, 2019, an estimate in the amount of $47,928.56 was received for
the Sidewalk Repairs 2019 project from Jax Utilities Management, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has a current contract with Jax Utilities Management,
Inc. (Contract #8258-22 titled "Concrete Maintenance and Construction — West Area"; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to piggy -back off said contract; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials
necessary for the removal and replacement of broken sidewalk segments, misc. curb replacement
and new concrete installation. Areas include Oceanwalk, Ocean Blvd., Royal Palms Dr., Sailfish
Dr., Seaspray Ave., Clippership cul-de-sac, Plaza Dr. (from Skate Rd. to East Coast Dr.,), Donner
Park Area, W. 3`d St., W. 6th St., W. 10th St. and W. 11th St.; and
WHEREAS, $91,000 is available in account 131-5002-541-6300 under project #PW1904.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City to piggy -back off the City of
Jacksonville's Contract with Jax Utilities Management; and
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes approving a Purchase Order in the
amount of $52,721.42 ($47,928.56 + 10% contingency of $4,792.86 for Misc. Overages and
Maintenance of Traffic costs), as well as allow the City Manager to approve any additional
sidewalk replacements as the budgeted funds will allow, up to $91,000 (balance in project PW 1904
Sidewalk Improvements) while the contractor is mobilized on the job.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
