A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE AQUATIC DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
FINAL DESIGN AND PERMITTING.
WHEREAS, Jones Edmunds & Associates Inc. has completed the 30% design of the
Aquatic Drive Drainage Improvements and has submitted a proposal dated August 1, 2019 in the
amount of $156,338.00 for Final Design and Permitting; and
WHEREAS, the tasks included in the proposal include Project Management, Meetings and
Communications, Data Collection, Drainage Improvement Plans (to include 60% submittal, 90%
submittal and Final Design submittal with Technical Specifications), Permit Submittals, Bid -Phase
Services, and Additional Drainage Evaluation (Optional); and
WHEREAS, the City has a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Jones
Edmunds and this scope of work would be Task Authorization #9 under said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the engineer expects to complete the project within 180 days of receipt of
executed Task Authorization; and
WHEREAS, the fee for this Task Authorization will be fully funded in FY 19/20.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Task
Authorization #9 with Jones Edmunds & Associates Inc. in the amount of $156,338.00 for the
Aquatic Drive Drainage Improvements Final Design and Permitting as described in Jones Edmunds
Opportunity No. 95239-259-19 dated August 21, 2019, and;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
Purchase Order in FY 19/20 to Jones Edmunds & Associates Inc. in the amount of $156,338.00.00
for said Task Authorization #9.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
