Uniform RentaUCteaning for Public Works Employees

Per the Northeast Florida Public Employees' Local 630 agreement with the City, we are required
to furnish and clean uniforms for all bargaining unit employees: Bid #0001-22 was opened at
3:00 PM on July 11, 2001 and four bidders submitted bids. The bid specifications stated that the
bid awazd will be based on the average unit prices furnished on the uniform rentallcleaning bid
summary form. The bid summary form had twenty-one unit prices listed on it and the following
is the total of these items:

BUDGET: These funds are budgeted in the 4400 accounts of several
departments, i.e. Streets & Maintenance, Water & Sewer, Parks
and Recreation and Finance. The average monthly expense is
$766. and will continue to average the budgeted amount.
RECOMMENDATION: Award to RUS of Gainesville. This firm has provided uniform
service for the last three years and has held their current prices.
