A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF A 2019 FORD F-450 REGULAR CAB PICKUP TRUCK FROM
ALAN JAY FLEET SALES FOR $81,031 TO REPLACE A 2008 FORD F-350 TRUCK
WITH 88,636 MILES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is in need of a new, multi-purpose truck to handle larger in-house projects, transport
the mini excavator, pull submersible pumps from lift stations, install deep well motors, lift manhole assembly
tops, replace and install fire hydrants and valves, and eliminate the need for hiring outside contractors; and
WHEREAS, the replacement truck will benefit the lift station mechanic and the collections system
department; and
WHEREAS, Alan Jay Fleet Sales is the preferred provider of this truck; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of a replacement 2019 Ford F-450 Regular
Cab Pickup Truck from Alan Jay Fleet Sales for $81,031.
Section 2. Alan Jay Fleet Sales is the preferred provider of this product.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund for this
purpose.
Section 4. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and purchase
orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution;
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
