Board Member Review Committee Meeting

CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Kelly called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Approve Minutes of the Board Member Review Committee meeting of September
12, 2019.
B. Approve Minutes of the Board Member Review Committee meeting of September
18, 2019.
The minutes were reviewed by the Committee and there were no corrections or changes.
There was consensus to approve the minutes as submitted.
2. INTERVIEW CANDIDATE
A. Mark Gabrynowicz - new applicant for ESC
The Committee interviewed Mr. Gabrynowicz. An overview of the duties and
responsibilities of the Environmental Stewardship Committee (ESC) was given by Mr.
Andrews. Mr. Gabrynowicz explained his personal accomplishments, experience, goals,
and interests in the community. The Committee offered the opportunity to ask questions
and the Committee responded to those questions.

3. DISCUSS CANDIDATES LISTED BELOW AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ON
APPOINTMENTS TO ESC
A. Mark Gabrynowicz
Daniele Giovannucci
Tom Goodwich
City Clerk Bartle spoke about the candidates' districts and the positions available. Since
there were no applicants from District 1308 to fill the District 1308 position, she
suggested reassigning Judith Leroux from her current At -Large position to the District
Board Member Review Committee
October 3, 2019
1308 position since she resides in District 1308 and her term also ends on December 31,
2020. This move would free up an At -Large position to allow any of the current
applicants a chance to serve.
The Committee discussed candidates for the ESC and made the following
recommendations.
MOTION: Recommend reassigning Judith Leroux from the At Large position to the vacant
District 1308 position.

MOTION: Recommend appointing Mark Gabrynowicz to the Environmental Stewardship
Committee as a District 1307 member to fill an unexpired term beginning immediately and
ending December 31, 2020.

Commissioner Kelly explained that the recommendations will be on the October 28, 2019
Regular Commission agenda for action. The Committee discussed district boundaries.
Mr. Andrews left the meeting.
4. OTHER BUSINESS
The Committee discussed meeting on October 16 at 5:30 p.m. to address membership on the
Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee (CARAC) and, if we have applicants to
interview, Pension Board of Trustees. There was a brief discussion about the Youth Council.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further discussion, Commissioner Kelly adjourned the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
