AGENDA ITEM: Pay for Crty Clerk

BACKGROUND: The position for Crty Clerk in Atlantic Beach has been considered
Sepazate from the City payroll system for other employees since a
resolution was adopted m 1994 outluung the provisions of her
empioymeat agreement Because she is not included in the Pay and
Compensation Study, rt is appropriate for the City Commission to
establish her salary for the coming yeaz
Our Human Resources Manager, George Foster has indicated that if
The Crty Clerk position had been included within the Pay and
Classification Study and if she was treated as a regular Crty employee,
she would receive a salary increase of $1,830 40 in the coming yeaz
which equals 3 99 percent of her current salary
BUDGET: If the increase is provided by the Crty Comrmssion of $1,830 40, rt will
be within the amount proposed for adoption with the FY O1-02 budget
RECOMMENDATION: For the Mayor and Commission to set the salary of the Crty Clerk at
$45,822 40 for the coming yeaz which will provide for a increase as
described above
