RESOLUTION NO. 01-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
DISSOLVING THE CITY'S BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Atlantic Beach Beautification Committee was formed in February
1999 and was later ratified by the adoption of Resolution No. 99-8; and
WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the
City Commission regarding beautification and landscaping of publicly owned lands in
the City; and
WHEREAS; the City has hired staff to perform the work previously undertaken by
the Beautification Committee; and
WHEREAS, at their last meeting, the Beautification Committee members voted to
recommend to the City Commission that the Committee be dissolved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, effective immediately, the City
Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, does hereby dissolve the Beautification
Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Commission does hereby express its
deep appreciation and thanks to the members who have served on the Beautification
Committee throughout the years, the fruits of whose labors are evident throughout the
City.
ADOPTED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida, this day of
2001.
