Atlantic Boulevard Medians: The possible extension of A/C power to the Atlantic Boulevazd medians has come up in several discussions in recent months. Having A/C power would allow for irrigation controllers with rain sensors that can shut off the system when irrigation is not needed. These have been recommended by the Water Management District. ;Having A/C power on the medians would also enable Christmas lighting to be installed and let us put lighting on some of the palm trees during the rest of the year. Public Works has estimated the total cost to extend power lines to each of the medians would be just under $70,000. Another option to install the rain sensors on the irrigation system is available using a battery operated remote controller for an estimated cost of just under $5,000: However, this would not allow for other lighting. No funds aze budgeted for this project. Tour of the Core Citv Proiect; At the request of some City.
