- 37% (14) were nighttime crashes and 73% (23)
were daytime crashes '

A1A; 19 involved peds or cyclists crossing the
side street; 3 involved cyclists or peds being
overtaken
- 6 crashes were @ Plaza and 4 were @ Levy /
Donner (signalized intersections)
-14 (38%) crashes involved wrong way riders
- 6 crashes involved wrong ~vay riders @
signalized intersections
- 30 (81%) of the crashes involved persons over
17 years old

Counter Measures
Engineering
- Add Ped features all approaches @ Plaza ,Levy
/ Donner and Church Street with special
emphasis crosswalks and ped crossing warning
signs K
Currently ped features are not on all approaches
- Blanl:-out signs prohibiting right on red turns
when ped button is pushed
- Pedestrian refuge islands
Enforcement
- Recommend enforcement of bicycle lighting and
jaywalking laws
Education
- Recommend the city get actively involved in
CTST to pursue educational programs in bike /
ped issues.
- Department will look into a informational poster
to be posted a local businesses showing Bike /
ped conflicts with right turning vehicles
