Dear Dr. Matthews:
It is my pleasure to endorse and support the grant proposed by the Beaches Area
Historical Society, Jacksonville Beach, FL. that will fund an architectural and historic site
survey for 1,100 structures that predate 1952 in Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and
Jacksonville Beach. I believe this survey will promote the distinctive character of Duval
County Beach communities and wilt form a basis for further historic preservation projects
in our beach areas.
I heartily support the efforts of the Beaches Area historical Society on their behalf.
Your favorable consideration of this grant application will be appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
Jim Hanson, City Manager
