SUBJECT: Follow-u~ Report
Dead Palm Tree in Bull Park; It was reported at the Commission meeting on November
12 that one of the palm trees in Bull Pazk was apparently dead and a concern was
expressed over whether beetles could affect other palms. Arborist Early Piety was called
into look at the tree, which has since been removed. The tree did have an insect
infestation although Mr. Piety believed that no other palms in Bull Pazk were afTected.
Mao ofJordao Park with Adioinine Proaerties; A map ofJordan Pazk with adjoining
property owners was requested at the last Commission meeting. A map produced on the
City's GIS system is attached to this report.
Auction of Surnlus Item+; The Commission approved the disposal of several surplus
items at the last City Commission meeting. Twelve of the largest items were taken to the
City of Jacksonville Beach auction held last week. All items sold with what appears to
be favorable pricing on Atlantic Beach's behalf: The City earned a net of 523,220.00
(after the auction fee of 10% was paid).
