BACKGROUND: The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) permit renewal ~
application for Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, located at 739 Wonderwood Road, must be
submitted to DEP by September 2S, 2002. Engineering studies required as part of the application
package include a Capacity Analysis Report and an Operations and Maintenance Performance
Report.
Staff requested a proposal from Waiu &Moye, Inc., one of our continuing contract engineers, to
complete the permit renewal application and the two reports. Waitz R; Moye has proposed to
perform the work with costs billed on an hourly basis, not to exceed $16,000.
BUDGET: Funds for this work were budgeted in the Sewer Treatment Account No. 410-
5503-S3S-3100 in the amount of $30,000.
RECOhibIENDATION: Authorize Waitz &Moye, Inc. to complete the Permit Renewal
Studies for Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 in an amount not to cxceed $16,000 under the
continuing contract.
