Bid awarded to Petticoat Cantractin~, Inc. by Commission on 10/11/99, Budget
Ordinance appproved 10/25/99, ]Notice to Proceed issued for 11/1/99. Contractor
mobilized 11/15/99. Discovered conflicts with existing force mains and Southern Bell
lines on Donner Road on 12/3/99. Southern Bell relocated their line on 12/15/99. The
City's point repair contractor, Gruhn May, Inc. added proper restraints to an existing
sewer force main located above the new storm pipe on 12/20/99.
Influent stn~cture and installation of influent line and four manholes completed. Grit
removal stn-cture and master wetwell have been constructed. New transformer pad,
main electrical feed conduit and other conduit stub outs have been installed. New
generator has been installed, load tested, and inspected by RESD. Painting of two
additional tanks approved by Commission on 10/25!99. Force main tie-in made on
1111.0/99. Old surge tank taken otT line, drained and cleaned by 11!19/99. Chlorine
Contact Chamber bypassed on t t/30/99, has been inspected and will need total
sandblast and repaint on interior. Hightower Geotechnical completed underpinning of
operations building on 12/1.6/99. Contractor installing pipin > for effluent pumps.
Core bored two holes in chlorine; contact chamber acid instal~ed piping by 12/10/99.
Completed effluent piping from tanks except for connections to SBR 2 & 3.
Completed 25% of waste stud a piping. Installed effluent pumps. 80% of piping to
be removed leas been removed Installed all fiberglass piping inside SBR #I and
poured equipment pads for SBR #1 by 12/28/99. Startup of first SBR scheduled for
1 /4/99 - 1 /7/99.
Commission approved engineering contract on 4/12/.99 to include cost/benefit
analysis of Shanb>ri La lift station abandonment. Cost/benefit Analysis of Shangri La
lift station abandonment received on S/2 I /99. 100% desigm plans have been submitted.

submitted on 8/13/99. Materials for culvert were delivered on 10/12/99. Construction
began 11 /1 /99, after contractor received permit from Water Management District.
Culvert pi e has been installed as of 11/19/99. Headwall poured on 12/1/99, Project
substantially complete, and final inspection held 12/10/99. Striping of asphalt to be
completed by Public Works.
Received partial reliminary plans for review on 4/29/99, and advised on 5/5%99 that
no utilities are af3~ected. Geotechnical work underway on 8/13/99. Public Works
received 90°io plans on 12/22/99; plans under review.
Bid for constn~ction was awarded to Superior Contracting on 10/27!99. Pittman
Hartenstein, Tnc. completed utility design for JEA improvements. Received 100a/o
plans on 12/7/99. Staff to review for utility conflicts and comments.
