A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #1920-02 FOR BEGONIA STREET GRAVITY SEWER
EXTENSION.
WHEREAS, on December 18, 2019, six bids were received and opened for City Bid
1920-02 Begonia Street Gravity Sewer Extension,
WHEREAS, the total bid prices (including 10% contingency) received ranged from
115,483.50 to $437,119.75; and
WHEREAS, Gruhn May, Inc. submitted all required documents in their bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of installing city sewer services; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given 60 days to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the project will be fully funded in the FY19-20 budget under account
410-5508-535-63-00.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1920-02 to Gruhn May, Inc. in
the amount of $115,483.50 to install city sewer services, in accordance with the plans and bid
specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Gruhn May, Inc.;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
