Subject: Follow -up items from Commission meetings
Elimination of Bump at MaYport Road -Plaza Drive Intersection: In a recent City
Commission meeting, the question was raised about the cost of eliminating the bump in
the road at the intersection of Mayport Road and Plaza Drive. The estimated cost to lower
the city's 10 inch water line is $50,000.00. Additionally, there is a Bell South duct bank
and possibly a Media One cable line. We do not have estimated costs for the relocation of
these but it is possible that each may be required to absorb the cost if the City were to
proceed with this project.
This issue was considered in the eazly 90's during the construction of Section H roads, but
was not done at the time because of the estimated cost.
Public Works staff will present a brief presentation on this at the Commission meeting.
