BACKGROUND: The City's current contract is with R L Lawrence Construction for
concrete repairs, which expires on February 29, 2000. We have
contacted Mr. Robert Lawrence, Owner of R L Lawrence
Construction ,and he has agreed to extend the contract for another
year at the current prices. The City has the option of extending the
current contract for two (2) one (1) year periods and this proposed
extension will be the first.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for one year at the current prices.
ATTACHMENTS: Letter signed by Robert Lawrence, Owner of R L Lawrence
Construction agreeing to the extension.
BUDGET: Spent $33,214.00 from 3-1-99 to 1-14-00

Dear Mr Lawrence:
As you are aware, the contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for concrete repairs expires on
February 29, 2000. We would like to extend the contract for another year at the current prices, if
this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me before
January 28, 2000, so I can prepare a staffreport for the City Commission to accept the extension.
We look forward to recommending that we continue our contract with your company.
