Summary of Jordan Park activities:
• A pizza pa-fy was held to bring in the fast New Year of the Millennium.
• A drug awareness discussion was held the week of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday.
They also designed silhouettes-o€ Martin Lather King to-hang. in Donner Perk Corrrmunity
Center. -
• The Flag Football season ended with Donner and Jordan Park winning the eoinmunity
center championship. The championship games was held January 17`x'. The children
' received trophies and a award banquet was held to honor the children who participated.
• The children attended basketball games at Arlington Middle School and Maypork Middle
School. They took part in discussions with the coaches after the games to get tips on
how to improve there game. The beginning of the. basketball season started January 19~'
for the community centers.
Summary of Donner Park activities:
• fGds Cafe afterschoot snack program began on January4~'. A total of 25 children were
served. The days following, an average of 45 children under the age of 18 were served
as well. -
• A B.E.A.M board meeting was held to mark the new year. The meeting consisted of
recapping a serious of last years events and discussing what approach would be taken
this year to enhance the project with new programs. The Dentat Van Project was also
apart of this discussion. It was decided during this meeting tha# the Dental Van will come
to Donner Park every 3 months for checkups with the children.
• A Martin Luther King, Jr. Flag Football game was held at Donner Park. Hot Dogs,
Hamburgers, sodas and chips were served. fiver 125 people participated in this event
that consisted of a fun filled day of games, discussions of Martin Luther King and the main
event.
• Donner Park children also participated frr attending basketball games at Mayport Middle
and Fletcher High School along with the children of Jordan Park Community Center.
Uther Adele gage and Parks & Recreation activities included:
• Made preparations for Camp-Out to include program set-up, flyer distribution and contacts

• Regulated controlled bum at Dutton Island
- Prepared minutes and agenda. for Recreation Advisory Board
• Contacted area companies regarding networking solutions for the city
