RE Parking Spaces at 725 Atlantic BlvdI have looked at parking requirements for Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Daytona Beach, Miami Beach, and St. Johns County.
For bars, nightclubs, discotheques and dance halls, the prevailing standard is one space per four seats. Daytona Beach has a one space per 50 square feet of customer service area (but
that seems way too low.) If we consider persons as "seats" and use their 1000 person estimate, that would translate to 250 spaces, providing for 88 remaining spaces to be used by the
other business.
I also checked hours of the other businesses in the shopping center. With the exception of the Po' Boys, The Tree Steak House and Tijuana Flats, the others close long before the Comedy
Club or the proposed Freebird shows would begin
Po' Boys: closes 10:00pm Mon.-Thurs; open until 2:00am weekends.
Polly B Dance Studio: closes 7:30pm
Sportsplex: closes 5:30pm
Solessa: closes 6:00pm
Tree Steak House: closes 10:00pm (but bar may be open later. No one there now to ask.)
Magnolia Properties: No regular office hours. (real estate office.)
Shore Things: closes 8:00pm
Center Stage: closes 6:00pm
Nails & Spa: closes 8:00pm
Tijuana Flats: closes 10:0pm during the week, 11:00 on weekends
The parking calculations The Theatre provided when they remodeled and got approval for the Comedy Club showed 426 seats, requiring 107 parking spaces.
They provided 187 spaces.

Jim,
FYI… the total available parking spaces at 725 Atlantic Blvd amounts to 328 plus 10 handicapped spaces. This does not include the 46 spaces across the parking lot near the Seafood Kitchen.
We have officers counting the available parking for several nights at 8, 10, and midnight.
