BACKGROUND: The City Commission discussed this ordinance at the April 24, 2017 regular
Commission meeting where it moved the item forward to a Public Hearing and First Reading on
May 8, 2017.
At that meeting Commissioners asked questions about various elements of the plan. Included
topics were: floodplains/flood zones, ownership of utilities, the proposed conservation area, the
retention pond, and the existing covenants. The applicants have submitted the Response to AB
Concerns (attached) in an effort to answer some of those questions and provide additional clarity.
The applicants also submitted a Site Context Map (attached) that better defines conservation and
development areas with an aerial photograph in the background to show existing conditions.
BUDGET: None.
RECOMMENDATION: To approve Ordinance No. 90-17-227 on First Reading and to move
forward to Second Reading on May 22, 2017.
