Vooswar
Just wanted to make you aware that the Vooswar will be submitting an
application for a Waiver from the Land Development Regulations to get
zoning approval for a full liquor license.
They cannot ask for a Use-by-Exception, because bars are only a
permissible Use-by-Exception in commercial zoning districts. So the LDR
waiver is the only process and I do not think that there is any
conceivable way that they meet the conditions to approve a Waiver.
They have been in numerous times over the past month or so, and I have
done everything I can think of to discourage them including telling
them that it is very unlikely that it will be approved, but they are
determined.
They are in residential zoning of course, but are insistent that the
zoning got “messed-up” and that they have been commercial since 1971.
