Exh 9a z-z s-ao City Manager Report February 23, 2000 Water/sewer line breaks; In recent months several contractors have been working in and around the City. These have included Media One, JTA, and JTA contractors on the Wonderwood Project. Attached is a list of accounts receivable generated from the Public Works Department showing the number of major water and sewer Line breaks in the City since December 1. Beach Water Report; attached for your information is the most recent Water Quality Report from the State Department of Health dated 2/8/00 showing all samples taken along Atlantic Beach to be "good." Engineering design for Flyover related utility relocations; I have authorized the Engineering Firm of Connelly and Wicker to prepare engineering plans for water and sewer relocations that will be necessary in connection with the JTA Flyover Project. The cost for doing this design work is $6,800 and our preliminary estimate for relocation cost is $80,000. The preliminary engineering plans for the JTA Flyover indicated that the City of Atlantic Beach would not need to make any utility relocations to accommodate the Project. However, the 100 percent plans (submitted after the Project was bid) indicated that some relocation would be necessary. Grant from St. Johns Water Management District; attached to this report is the letter from the St. Johns Water Management District confirming that a grant has been awarded to the City of Atlantic Beach in the amount of $20,000 to aid in the cost for the Core City Storm Water Improvements. I reported at the last meeting that we had received a verbal commitment for this Grant in the amount of $25,000 which was in error. The correct amount should have been $20,000.
