A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID #1920-03 FOR THE 12TH STREET DUNE WALKOVER
WHEREAS, on January 8, 2020 three bids were received and opened for City Bid
1920-03: 12th Street Dune Walkover; and
WHEREAS, the three total Lump Sum prices received were 1) $168,500.00 from C&L
Landscape, Inc., 2) $119,400.00 from KBT Contracting Corp., and 3) $94,380.00 from Hayward
Construction Group, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder, Hayward Construction Group, LLC submitted all required
documents in their bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of constructing a wooden Dune Walkover at the 12th
Street Beach Access; and,
WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed to
complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the project will be fully funded in the FY19-20 budget under Project PR2001
Dune Walkover Construction Improvements, account 120-6040-572-63.00.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid # 1920-03 to Hayward
Construction Group, LLC in the amount of $94,380.00 to construct the project in accordance with
the plans and bid specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with Hayward Construction Group, LLC;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
