Resolution No. 20-08RESOLUTION NO. 20-08 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID #1920-01 FOR THE SEMINOLE ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS. WHEREAS, on January 15, 2020 eight bids were received and opened for City Bid 1920-01: Seminole Road Drainage Improvements; and WHEREAS, the Total Bid Prices (including 10% Contingency) ranged from a low bid of 463,060.40 to a high bid of $1,160,847.00; and WHEREAS, the low bidder, Gruhn May, Inc. submitted all required documents in their bid submittal; and WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the reconstruction of residential driveways, grading existing roadside ditches, removal of existing storm drain pipe, storm drain pipe and drainage structure construction, sidewalk construction, and incidental signing and striping; WHEREAS, the Contractor will be given one hundred twenty (120) days from Notice to Proceed to complete the project; and WHEREAS, the project will be fully funded in the FY19-20 budget under Project PU2001 Seminole Road Pipe Replacement. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as follows: SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards Bid #1920-01 to Gruhn May, Inc. in the amount of $463,060.40 to construct the project in accordance with the plans and bid specifications; SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Contract with Gruhn May, Inc. Attest: adiLt& Donna L. Bartle, City Clerk SECTION 3.
