A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A BUILDING INSPECTOR'S
VEHICLE, FOR THE AMOUNT OF $ 26,145.00 AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a new vehicle is necessary to replace a 2005 Jeep, inspector's vehicle for the
Building Department; and
WHEREAS, $25,000.00 is currently budgeted in Building Department Account No. 455-
1008-524.64-00, Motor Vehicles, for FY 2020; and
WHEREAS, a hybrid vehicle will produce less harmful emissions, have higher gas mileage,
and be generally beneficial to the City; and
WHEREAS: the cost of the hybrid vehicle is $26,145.00, $1,145.00 higher than the cost of
the standard gas engine model; and
WHEREAS: Building Department funds are available in Account No. 455-1008-524.34-00,
Contractual Services, in the amount of $1,145.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Findings. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
SECTION 2. The City Commission approves the purchase of a new hybrid replacement
vehicle for the Building Department, for the amount of $ 26,145.00.
SECTION 6. Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final
passage and adoption.
