Agenda Item; Authorization for Mayor's Signature on Grant Acceptance

Background:
The City Commission previously authorized staffto apply for a
Law Enforcement Block Grant for a Pursuit Termination Project.
The grant application was completed and submitted, and the
Florida Department of Community Affairs has requested the
Mayor's signature on a Certification of Acceptance agreement.
This is routine paperwork for acceptance of a grant administered
through the Department of Community Affairs.
Recommendations:
To authorize the Mayor to sign the Certification of Acceptance
agreement with the Department of Community Affairs for the
~- Atlantic Beach Pursuit Termination project.

CERTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE/
- REQUEST FOR PAYMENT OF SUBGRANT AWARD
The subgrantee, through its authorized representative, acknowledges receipt and acceptance
of subgrant award number 00-CJ-G3-04-26-02-120, in the amount of $9,275, for a
project entitled:
Atlantic Beach Pursuit Termination Project
for the period of 03/01/2000 through 08/31/2000 , in accordance with the Project Budget
Schedule and Project Budget Narrative contained in the subgrant application, and subject to
the Department of Community Affairs' Conditions of Agreement and any special conditions
governing this subgrant.
By execution of this Certification of Acceptance/Request for Payment, the subgrantee requests a
lump sum payment of the subgrant.
