Our mission is "to partner with families and communities to enable children and young people in the Beaches communities to become responsible, self-reliant, and caring adults." Our partnership with the City of Atlantic Beach will take us one step further towards achieving our mission in serving our community to the best of our ability. As we talk last week, we would like to develop a partnership with the City of Atlantic Beach in the same fashion we have developed partnerships with the City of Jacksonville Beach, the City of Jacksonville and most recently with the City of Neptune Beach. For this purpose I would like to request to speak to the Mayor and the City Council on behalf of the children and young adults that participate in our programs. As I indicated to you, all funding provided by the City of Atlantic Beach and other Beaches cities will help us maintain our building and provide quality programs to our members and their families, therefore enhancing our Beaches Community. Today we serve over 700 members, our goal is to achieve 1000 members by the end of the year. Approximately 30% of our members come from the City of Atlantic Beach. We provide quality and diverse programs to all our members. We provide programs in all Five-Core Program Areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.
