A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE
THREE NEW TRUCKS DURING FY1920.
WHEREAS, the current year budget for Public Works contains funding for two new trucks
for the Streets Division, and one new truck for the Parks Division; and
WHEREAS, staff has received three State Contract quotes from Alan Jay Fleet Sales; and
WHEREAS, the Streets Division intends to purchase (1) 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500
Double Cab 4WD Truck in the amount of $26,568.00, and (1) 2020 Ford F-550 Regular Cab
Chassis 2WD Truck in the amount of $43,308.00; and
WHEREAS, the Parks Division intends to purchase (1) 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500
Double Cab 4WD Truck in the amount of $26,568.00; and
WHEREAS, since individually, each of these trucks are over the $25,000 City Manager
approval level, we are seeking Commission approval to streamline the purchasing process; and
WHEREAS, trucks are funded in both the Streets and Parks FY1920 budget.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes Public Works to enter a requisition
for the three new trucks as quoted by Alan Jay Fleet Sales; and
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a
purchase order to Alan Jay Fleet Sales in the amount of $96,444.00 for all three trucks.
