PROJECT Property Location Map Item No: WAIV18-0006 Address: 2347 Fiddlers Lane Applicant: Julie Hammond PUBLIC HEARING(S) Body: City Commission Date: June 11, 2018 Time: 6:30 PM Request: Request for a waiver as permitted by Section 23-8 to waive the required mitigation for tree removal on a residential property as required by Section 23-33 to allow for the construction of a new single family home at 2347 Fiddlers Lane (Lot 54 Oceanwalk Unit One). Summary: The applicant is requesting that the required mitigation of 270 inches be reduced by a minimum of 39 inches to allow for the construction of a new home. The previously vacant lot contained over 100 trees, 43 of which had to be removed for construction of a new home. This resulted in a total of 540 diameter inches of trees being removed. Section 23-33 requires a 50% mitigation rate for residential properties, resulting in a required mitigation of 270 inches for this property. The applicant is requesting relief from this mitigation requirement. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or at any subsequent meeting to which the Commission has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need to insure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
