BACKGROUND: The City's current contract for lawn maintenance is with
Campbell's Lawn Service, and this contract expires on March 31,
2000. We have contacted Mr. Bruce Campbell, owner of
Campbell's Lawn Service, and he has agreed to extend the contract
for another six months at the current contract rates. The City has
the option of extending the current contract for two (2) one (1) year
periods and this proposed extension would be the first. After this
six month extension, it is the intent of the City to combine the
Public Works lawn maintenance contract and the Parks and
Recreation lawn maintenance contract, which expires September
30, 2000, into one contract.
RECOMMENDATION: Extend the contract for six months at the current prices.
BUDGET: Six months at current rates will be $10,779.12

Dear Mr. Campbell:
As you are aware, your contract with the City of Atlantic Beach for lawn maintenance expires
on March 31, 2000. We would like to extend the contract for another six months, at the current
rates, if this is acceptable to your company. If acceptable, please sign below and return to me
before March 20, 2000, so I can prepare a staff report for the City Commission to accept the
extension.
We look forward to recommending that we extend o~fr contract with your company.
