PROJECT Property Location Map Item No: ZVAR18-0021 Address: 1880 George St Applicant: Ruthie Wilcher Cody PUBLIC HEARING(S) Body: Community Development Board Date January 15, 2018 Time: 6:00 PM Request: Request for a variance to increase the maximum fence height allowed in front yards from 4 feet to 6 feet to allow a 6 foot fence in the western front yard of a double frontage lot. Summary: The applicant is requesting to install a 6 foot fence along the western lot line and portions of the northern and southern lot lines. The applicant’s lot is a double frontage lot with frontage on George Street to the east and Park Street to the west. Section 24-84(a) of the city code requires that both sides of a lot with street frontage be considered the front yard and Section 24-157 limits maximum fence heights in front yards to 4 feet. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or at any subsequent meeting to which the Commission has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need to insure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
