AGENDA ITEM: Naming of Dutton Island

BACKGROUND: Staffrequested citizen input on the naming of Dutton Island
through the City's newsletter and the local newspapers. The
following names were received:
* B. de Castro y Ferrer
* Wally'Dutton
The Commission requested that this issue be put on the agenda for
the first meeting in April. The Recreation Advisory Board
discussed this issue at its February meeting and voted not to take
action until early spring, in hopes of getting more names. The
naming of Dutton Island was not discussed at the Board's March
meeting.
BUDGET: No funding is needed.
RECOMMENDATION: Select from the above two choices.
