Notice is hereby given that the City will hold a public meeting on
Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission
Chamber, 800 Seminole Road, Atlantic Beach, FL for the purpose of
providing training for Atlantic Beach Board and Committee
Members. The training will cover requirements pertaining to elected
officials, public officers, board and committee members, including
alternate members and advisory committee members, and public
employees such as Public Records Law (F.S. Chapter 119), Sunshine
Law (F.S. Chapter 286), Ethics Law, including Gifts, Voting
Conflicts, and Financial Disclosures (F.S. Chapter 112). Additional
topics include Robert’s Rules of Order, board/committee duties and
responsibilities, and the relationship with city staff.
Two or more members may be in attendance from the following:
City Commission, General Employees’ Pension Board of
Trustees, Police Officers’ Pension Board of Trustees, Community
Development Board, Board Member Review Committee,
Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee, and
Environmental Stewardship Committee and its Subcommittees.
