Background:
The City advertised for bids to be submitted by April 19, 2000 for cleaning, staining, and
sealing the wood shingles at the Public Safety Building, and to clean the concrete
pathways, decks, etc. around the Pubfic Safety Building and City Hall. The
specifications required a "walk through" of the facilities.
Five (5) bids were received by the deadline. The lowest bid was from Dees, Inc. for
$9,583, plus an add alternate for $350 for adding insecticide. A check of the company's
references produced positive results, and Don Ford has met with their company
representatives on site to review the work.
The funding will come from existing Police Department accounts
Recommendations: To approve the award of the bid to Dees, Inc. for a total of $9,583
plus $350 for insecticide.
